All About Album 88

[History] [Music Philosophy]

WRAS-Atlanta (Album 88) is the largest student-run non-commercial radio station
blasting into your stereos at 100,000 watts and a frequency of 88.5 MHz. The station
has "officially" been on the air since January 18, 1971 when former Dean of Students
Kenneth England signed us on the airwaves. Album 88 is located in suite 280 of the
University Center at Georgia State University and our tower is located at Panthersville.

Album 88 is run entirely by Georgia State University students and is funded by student
activity fees. All students are welcome to join and WRAS is an equal opportunity employer.

We operate on a ninety (90) album rotation format and do not play singles or music found
on commercial radio stations. See the above link for our Music Philosophy and visit our
Music
page for more information.
