- Q: Is WRAS broadcasting on-line?
- A: Currently, no. But we hope to be doing so within the next year. We recently acquired
the equipment to run an automated format which will assist us in getting online; however, we are still trying
to figure out how to comply with FCC regulations dealing with broadcasting online. There was an agreement in
May, 2003, to allow non-commercial stations to stream their on-air signal at a reasonable cost. What the agreement
did not change was the parts of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that have some crazy rules, like not playing
more than 3 songs from the same CD in a 3 hour period, not announcing song titles ahead of time, and other
restrictions which would prohibit us from streaming most of our specialty shows. We're still looking at ways to
deal with the restrictions.
- Q: Who can hear WRAS?
- A: Because WRAS has 100,000 watts our coverage is HUGE. We cover nearly all of North Georgia and it's not uncommon
to be able to pick up WRAS in Auburn, Alabama. Our coverage map shows the span of our signal:

- Q: When can I come pick up a CD/tickets/shirt that I won over the air?
- A: Our office is open Monday through Friday from approximately 10 am until 5 pm. Please call the office to make sure
someone is in there at 404-413-1630. Please, please, PLEASE come by and pick up your prizes as soon as you can
because stuff that is left over by the end of the semester ends up as raffle prizes at our benefit concerts.
- Q: I want to hear my music on your radio station, who do I send it to?
- A: All music submissions must be mailed as HARD copies (CDs or vinyl) and we do NOT accept singles or MP3s. Mail all
submissions to:
WRAS-Atlanta
Georgia State University
P.O. Box 4049
Atlanta, GA 30302-4048
- Q: I like/hate/have a suggestion/comment about the station. Where do I send them?
- A: Please email our General Manager at bmncaper@aim.com.
- Q: Do you post playlists?
- A: Currently, no, but we post our weekly charts. However, you can view playlists for specialty shows by clicking here to view a list of specialty shows with links to their show websites and/or hosts.
- Q: Where is the radio station?
- A: Album 88 is located on Georgia State University's campus on the second floor of the University Center. The only
room accessible to guests is our office which is located in suite 280 University Center. That's where you pick up
stuff you won on the air.
- Q: Where can I get cool WRAS swag?
- A: To get some Album 88 stickers for free send a self-addressed stamped envelope to our mailing address and we'll
send you back some stickers! We are currently ordering a new run of stickers so requests may take longer to fulfil. We have black tote bags for sale for $5 each. We are ordering more tshirts
which should be available mid-February for $10 each. If you come by our office we have stickers out
and 1" buttons. Check the website soon for images of out tote bag and tshirt logo.
