Manager of Network Planning
Charles Hollingsworth

Charles Hollingsworth is the Network Planning Manager
of University Computing and Communications for Georgia State University.
In his present position Charles is responsible for the design, development,
security, and management of the University network.
Charles has over twenty years of experience with
managing a wide range of Georgia State’s Information Technology
Infrastructure. As Assistant Manager of User Services he was responsible
for the development and management of the first campus microcomputer labs,
and well as the negotiation of a wide range of software and hardware usage
and discount agreements. As Manager of Microcomputer and Telecommunications
Support he was responsible for the management of the campus file server
support team, workstation support team, microcomputer repair, Help Desk,
and Network Infrastructure groups. He served as Networking Technical Lead
for most major Georgia State Information Technology projects over the
last 17 years.
In addition to on-campus responsibilities, Charles
has represented the University in many off-campus projects:

Charles has also worked as a consultant for Cairo
University, Agnes Scott College, IBM Southeastern Region, C&S Bank
(now Bank of America), Chick-Fil-A, Burger King, Edwards Pie, and Human
Systems.
