Associates Program

Purpose:
The Associates Program of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) was established by the advisory committee of the CTL to foster communication between the units of the University and the CTL in order for the CTL to better serve the needs of the teachers (faculty, graduate students, lecturers, PTIs) of the University. The Associates are faculty who know, understand, and are an advocate for their departments' teaching mission. As such they will provide to the CTL direct, valid input relevant to the mission of the CTL (see mission statement). Likewise, the Associates will provide information to individual teachers of their department about the services of the CTL and other resources that will be of benefit to that teacher's approach to teaching.

The CTL co-directors will provide to the Associates timely information on teaching support available from the CTL and on other resources from within and from outside the University. The Associates, on the other hand, have the responsibility of keeping the co-directors up-to-date on the needs of the teachers.
