Teaching Large Classes--The Century
Club
Do you teach a class so large that
dealing with administrative matters interfere with time for instruction?
Join the monthly discussions of the Century Club, a regular
meeting of those teaching large classes, for an exchange of
ideas, tested techniques and support. Monthly meetings are the first Friday of the month from noon until 1:30 in room 205 of Library South.
Preparing Graduate Students to Teach in Higher Education
This group of faculty members work with graduate
students and teaching assistants share ideas on how to prepare,
support, and reward the work of teaching assistants in their
departments. Monthly meetings begin on the second Friday of September room 205 of Library South.
Student Digital Portfolios
With an increasing commitment to documenting
student learning, a digital student portfolio has become the
assessment tool of choice for several departments. This group
will share their experiences and explore and evaluate the
resources that are available for developing procedures and
standards for using student digital portfolios.
