EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY CENTER
The Georgia State University Educational Opportunity Center provides information regarding financial aid and academic assistance for adults who want to pursue post-secondary education. The Center assists individuals in applying for admission to institutions that offer programs of post-secondary education, including preparing necessary applications for use by admissions and financial aid officers.

The Educational Opportunity Center provides the following
services:
1. Academic/Career Assessments
Academic, career assessment to help clients become aware of their abilities and to help them clarify their goals.
2. Postsecondary enrollment
Assist clients in choosing the right school for the program they're interested in; help with filling out admissions applications
3.Financial aid assistance
Assist clients locate sources of financial aid and assist them filling out the financial aid applications
4. Defaulted loans management
Advice on how best to settle a defaulted loan and referral to the appropriate government agency
5. GED/SAT tutorials
Computer assisted tutorials to practice the skills necessary to pass the test
6. Computer based training
Computer assisted tutorials for Microsoft Office Suite: Excell, Access, Word & Powerpoint
7. Individual/group counseling
Individual and group counseling on academic, personal, financial and career concerns
8. Referrals
Referrals to other agencies to ensure clients' service needs are met.
