Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award
Each semester, the Student Leadership Award is presented to a deserving student at Georgia State University’s Commencement ceremony. Students are nominated for this award and are selected by university administrators. Recipients must represent the highest ideals of leadership and meet the following criteria:
Academic & Co-curricular Excellence (A.C.E.) Award
Since 1977, the Division of Student Services has sponsored the recognition of an outstanding man and woman from the undergraduate student body for significant contributions to the university community. A.C.E. Award Winners receive a trophy and a $500 cash award during the Royal Flame Awards Ceremony.
The criteria for nomination are as follows:
- a high level of integrity and honesty
- demonstrated leadership in student activities
- a strong academic record
- undergraduate senior status (90 cumulative hours minimum)
- a spirit of helpfulness and support of others
Panther Leader of the Month
The Panther leader of the month is sponsored by Leadership Georgia State and serves as a means to recognize outstanding leadership contributions of a particuluar Georgia State student during a given month.
Criteria:
Nominees must meet all of the criteria listed below:
- Must be a full-time Georgia State undergraduate or graduate student
- Must have a cumulative Georgia State GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of the nomination
- Must have demonstrated excellence in leadership above and beyond typical expectations
- Nominations should be for actions that positively impact the Georgia State community (i.e. - actions associated with the Georgia State Campus)
