We are devoted to providing our students with actuarial science-related information and finding employment, coordinating the job fair, and creating networking opportunities among students, faculty, and industry professionals. Q: Who can attend the Actuarial Science job fair?
A: All current Actuarial Science students, Actuarial Science alumni who have graduated within one year but have not yet located a job, Actuarial Science alumni who have graduated but are still taking courses at Georgia State University, though the courses may not be actuarial science courses, and Georgia State University students from other schools who are taking at least one Actuarial Science core course are allowed to attend the job fair. Other Georgia State University students and students from other universities are not allowed to attend our job fair.
Q: What do I need to do to attend the job fair?
A: Current students need to be a member of our Actuarial Student Association to attend the job fair. Alumni who graduated within one year need to pay a $20 fee to attend the job fair. Keep an eye out on our events page for the most up-to-date information. Don’t miss out the deadlines. Get prepared!

Q: What's the ASA, FSA and EA?
A: An ASA is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries and is someone who has passed 6 of the 8 exams. A FSA is a Fellow in the Society of
Actuaries and is someone who has passed all 8 exams. An EA is an
Enrolled Actuary(an expert on pension plans) and is someone who has
passed the 3 enrolled actuaries exams, which deal with interest theory,
life contingencies and the funding of pension plans.
