Spectrum+ (Plus) Project

Project Overview

Georgia State University is upgrading the Spectrum financial system to a more recent release and supported version of PeopleSoft Financials.    One of the major goals of this project will be to move GSU towards the Board of Regents (BOR) financial model.  With this approach, GSU will be able to take advantage of training, reports, and interfaces developed at BOR. New modules including: E-Procurement, Expense, and Grants Management will be featured in the new system.

The project will have 4 major phases:

Phase 1 - Four month Planning & Analysis to include Data Gathering; Fit/Gap Sessions; and a Benefit Analysis of version 8.9 versus 9.0.

Phase 2 – Development of a detailed execution plan; Business Process Re-Design

Phase 3 – Application Development; Data Conversion & Validation

Phase 4 – User Acceptance Testing; End User Training; and Go Live!
