| The Admissions GSTEP is given several times per academic semester by the Department of Applied Linguistics and English as a Second Language at Georgia State University. The purpose of the Admissions GSTEP is to evaluate the English language proficiency of people whose native language is not English and who are applying to universities and colleges in the Atlanta metropolitan area. (Students applying to schools elsewhere should check with that school's admissions office to find out if it accepts the GSTEP scores.) If you wish to take this exam, you must register at the Department of Applied Linguistics & ESL (12th floor, 34 Peachtree Street). This test is given on several different dates each semester, and has a charge of $60, which must be in the form of a check or money order.
To apply by mail, print this form and mail it in. It must be received two weeks before the test date. If you have already taken the test, and want to send your scores to another university, complete this form and mail it back to us.
Please note: Georgia Perimeter College is now accepting GSTEP scores for admissions purposes. For more information, please contact GPC ISAA at 678-891-3235 or email gpcisaa@gpc.edu
