Research Description:
Developmental Plasticity
and Recovery of Function in Mammalian Visual and Auditory Pathways
We are interested in the interactions between neural activity and genetic
programs in sensory system development and plasticity. The approaches
we use currently include electrophysiology, neuroanatomical
tracing, immunocytochemistry, gene cloning, in situ hybridization, quantitative
real time PCR, and viral vector-mediated gene transfer.
