Dr. Therese M. Poole

Welcome to an exciting new course in Molecular Biology!!

WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?

This course focuses on “The central dogma” of molecular biology, including DNA, RNA protein structure, function and synthesis. This course also focuses on study and learning skills in biology.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE COURSE?

Ideally, this course is designed for students who have completed BIOL1107 and who feel they need a refresher course in cell chemistry, macromolecules and their synthesis. It will also be useful for students who need some help in learning new study skills in biology.

The next required course after 1107/1108 in the Biology Major is BIOL3800 – Molecular Cell Biology and it is assumed that you have a good understanding of these topics plus excellent study skills. Thus, if you had difficulty with these concepts in 1107, it is strongly encouraged for you to take BIOL2800.

WILL THIS COURSE COUNT TOWARD MY DEGREE?
