Black Feminist Thought. (Same as WSt 6750.) Explores the tradition of Black feminism in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Students will critically read, discuss, and respond in writing to a series of texts representing Black feminist thought and its relationship to other feminisms. Students will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of the Black feminist tradition and to demonstrate their ability to query, compare, and extend Black feminist theories.
