Instructions for the Mirrors Simulation Brian Schott copyright 2003 bschott@gsu.edu 4/20/3 Save the scripts in the J502/user directory. If you wish to save them in another directory, you may change the 'require' instructions in the beginning of the script 'mirrorsrun.ijs'. Run|File the script entitled 'mirrorsrun.ijs' into a JFEwd version of J502. The run produces 4 blank gl2 windows which you should position on your monitor so they do not overlap. Next type the following command. _6 _5 2 24 run 5 360 This will execute 5 instances of the simulation, the first of which places the passing car 360 inches (30 feet) behind the being-passed car. The four atoms of the left hand argument are mirror angles in degrees: the first two are for the left mirror, the last two are for the center mirror. For example the center mirror is rotated 2 degrees around the X axis (downward barely) and 24 degrees around the Z axis (toward the driver).
