Course strengths.

1.

It is very detailed...meaning you have a lot of resouces available.

Shelby was excellent, the book was great, Web CT was extreamly useful as was the text website, reviews and online quizes were nice also

4.

easy to apply to real life situations

Instructor strengths.

1.

Makes the material fun and easy to understand. Very animated.

2.

I love the way that she uses effective examples, communicates to her students, gets us involved, and tries to make such an awful subject fun!

3.

She loves the subject and loves teaching-it is very apparent! I would love to have professors like her in all my classes.

4.

She explains topics pretty clearly, better than others.

5.

great communication skills and made it easy as well as fun to learn

6.

The lectures were really great, Shelby explained things in a way that was really clear and simple, took lots of questions and never moved on until everyone understood

7.

the best professor i've ever had.

8.

OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTOR, Dr. Frost really inspired her class to get involved. She really enjoy her job. THANKS, Dr. Frost

9.

She has great enthusiasm and is willing to get to know the students and their names. She is very knowledgable on the subject of microeconomics and is very good at trying to contrast ideas to help students understand the subject.

10.

Shelby really loves teaching and it shows in her lectures.

11.

explaining graphs

12.

Instructor knew the material

13.

Really was able to get me thinking. She was able to break it down where you could understand it in more simple terms

Course weaknesses.

1.

I, personally, find Economics boring. Nothing anyone can do about that.

2.

The questions are a little too ambiguous to me. When your dealing with multiple choice and you have answers, which could all be answers, if you make a minor mistake or something, then the questions need to be MORE direct.

3.

Course suggestions for improvement.

1.

Let the instructor create their own exams, They probably could create exams, which aren't so confusing.

2.

make tests more definitions than graphs

5.

Keep the extra credit it did help in understanding the subject better.

6.

More attention to understanding the course subject.

7.

You need more professiors like her, she made learning fun. She made all the the quizzes extra credit, so you could take them as many times as you wanted to get an A, this was a great way to get students to know what's going on that day in class. The questions were different every time, so it was a great way to study, since to make a 100 it sometimes will take you 10+ times. This was a excellent teacher!!!! I sure appreciate someone who is eager for students to really grasp the concept and to understand. That's sometimes hard to find at a large public university.

Instructor suggestions for improvement.

1.

None. Just keep up your very inventive ways of teaching and using the "money" method as our grade scale. It's much more interesting that way.

2.

I can't really think of anything, but something that might help some students, who are not good test takers, maybe take some questions from the test bank and have like some IN CLASS practice quizzes and go over it.....It's different from doing the previous exams on your own. This might help us be able to deal with the exams a little bit better.

Comments on classroom environment (for example: temperature, audio/visual equipment, visibility, etc.).

THE NOISES FROM THE BUILDING WERE ANNOYING. GSU should sue the construction company who made the error. Unless they can fix it.
