Course strengths.

1.

application

2.

The book is an excellent self teaching resource The material is essential for economics and I wish I took it the first semester I was here

Instructor strengths.

1.

energetic, interesting, knowledgable

2.

Enthusiasm for the subject, willingness to explain the concepts, fairness, understanding of student psychology, presentation. She makes math fun to learn.Math is clearly her passion. She did problems on the board and explained the math-other econ profs should do the same. She is always on time and lets us go on time.

Course weaknesses.

1.

ALOT of material, pace of course

2.

This may be too much material for one semester unless a student has an extensive math background. maybe make it a two semester course and cover the material in more depth.

Instructor weaknesses.

1.

verbose

2.

Take this critique with the understanding it was her first time teaching the course. It was a little too rushed for the undergraduates. We got to the end of the course and abreviated the punch line, ch 13 and 14. Since these are the most important chapters in the book, leave out chapters 1-3 if need be and make sure these chapters are taught in depth. She seemed unprepared at times but I think this was because of the first time teaching experience.

Course suggestions for improvement.

1.

sequencing, more on later chapters, slow down

2.

See instructor weakness.

Instructor suggestions for improvement.

1.

allow time to go over questions in class (stopped toward end of semester)

2.

Make this a two semester course if need be to cover the last 3-4 chapters thoroughly.

Comments on classroom environment (for example: temperature, audio/visual equipment, visibility, etc.).
