Who
out there in T.V. land doesn't know all the words to the
Simpsons theme song? According to a recent Entertainment
Weekly readers poll, this jim-dandy of a program ranked Numero Uno
- the best show of all time. For once, the masses aren't asses; they've
recognized quality programming that's funny because it's true.
Yeah,
you got it, Nickelodeon, the only network for kids. Great
original animation (really the only channel to watch for Saturday morning
cartoons), sitcoms, game shows, and news programs that are youth-o-centric.
You'd dig it the most!
This red-headed step-child of a Ted Turner company boasts the world's largest
cartoon library. Thanks to the Turner/Time-Warner
merger, the premiere place for 'toons will soon gain exclusive broadcast
rights to the Looney Tunes shorts! The Hanna-Barbera hook-up is
a boon - such luminaries as Dexter's Lab,the Powerpuff Girls,
and Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast put the 'art' in cartoons.
I
haven't located a link for a Buffy site yet, but I wanted to comment briefly
on the recent episodes here in Season 3. This kind of heel-draggin' pacing
is in dire need of some denouement. Bring on the Ascension for cryin' out
loud!
