Hoover's Online provides access to a variety of company information

Central. You can access some of Hoover's
company profiles via the Time Warner Pathfinder Site. Includes current

SEC Edgar
All companies, foreign and domestic, are required
to file registration statements, periodic reports, and other forms
electronically through EDGAR. Anyone can access and download this information
for free.
Standard
& Poor Index Information
Access information about stock indexes maintained by Standard &
Poors. Includes current statistics, total return figures, and news as well
as alphabetical and grouped by industry lists of the companies included
in the various indexes. (S&P 500, Midcap 400, Smallcap 600, etc.)

Yahoo Finance
Yahoo Finance is an excellent starting point for a wide variety of company
information from stock quotes to news stories to commentary and analysis.
Tip: You can often guess the address for a company home page. The standard format is usually http://www.nameofcompany.com. For example if you are trying to find IBM's home page, try http://www.ibm.com .
