GSU-USC Commutative Algebra Seminar, April 2008

The seminar represents a collaborative effort of commutative algebraists at Georgia State University and University of South Carolina to increase exposure of their research area in the South-East through periodic meetings. Each term GSU and USC organize a regional seminar and a national one. This Spring, GSU will organize the national seminar. A regional meeting is held in Columbia in January. The main speaker for this meeting is Professor Ian M. Aberbach from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He will deliver a colloquium on Friday, April 25 at Georgia State University and a research talk later in the meeting.

The meeting will start on Friday afternoon with a colloquium by Ian M. Aberbach. The rest of the talks will be scheduled Saturday all day and Sunday morning. One talk might be scheduled on Friday as well besides the colloquium. The talks are 50 minute long.
