Antimicrobials VS. Soaps

Goal:

Students will complete a series of activities that will increase their awareness of the nature of antibacterial in soaps as well as the current controversies surrounding this growing phenomenon. The will be able to make informed decisions based upon research and defend these decisions in a forum.

Take the Test:

Have blind-folded students sample two cleansing agents. Sample A will consist of unmarked Dial liquid soap while sample B will consist of Dial Antibacterial liquid soap. Students will record in a pre-lesson journal there observations upon completion and continue to misconceptions.
