Typically people think of Antarctica as being all ice..as the Arctic. Antarctica is a continent with an interesting geology and topography under the ice caps. Summer temperatures melt the ice and reveal the rocky terrain below.
Half Moon Island is a crescent shaped island in the South Shetlands, Antarctic Peninsula. It is the site of a small, summer only Argentine Station named Teniente Camara.
