Vote on whether or not to cancel some consumer loans. Opponents said that cancelling loans would set a bad precedent, would encourage consumption, and would not be fair. The minister of finance said that the cancellation of loans would cost the treasury around 7.9 billion dinar (around "27 billion). Supporters said that many Kuwaiti families are endebted, face court hearings, and need relief.
