Loch specializes in the strategic management issues of information technology with a focus on ethical concerns, transfer of information technology, and management support systems, domestically and in the global arena. She has industry experience as an employee and consultant.

Loch has published articles in leading management and information systems journals such as MIS Quarterly, Communications of the ACM, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Global Information Management and Journal of Business Ethics and the Academy of Management Executive, as well as cases in management textbooks. She is co-editor and contributor to the book, Global Information Technology Education: Issues and Trends.

She is the Vice President for International Relations for IRMA. She serves as an associate editor for The Journal of Global Information Management and the Journal of Global Information Technology Management, review board member of IRMJ, and ad-hoc reviewer for several other journals.

She is a founder and the faculty advisor for the student organization, International Business Alliance (IBA). The IBA affords students the opportunity to network amongst themselves and international business leaders in the Atlanta business community through speakers and mentor programs, company visits, socials, and internships.
