Current Management Staff
WRAS's student leaders are undergraduate or graduate students who show a high level of leadership ability. Many of our student leaders have gone on to leadership positions in the communications industry as well as in many other disciplines.
All members of management staff can be reached by phone during their designated office hours. Otherwise, please correspond via email.

The General Manager oversees the operations of WRAS on a daily basis. The GM maintains the management staff, approves guests, and enforces that the staff follows legal procedures. The General Manager does not make any decisions regarding music.

The Music Director oversees the submission and approval of all music considered for regular rotation.
The Music Director oversees two Assistant Music Directors and will distribute incoming music to Specialty Show hosts as they deems appropriate. The director can be contacted for tracking during their office hours.

The Assistant Music Director is in charge of urban music, which includes all hip-hop, R & B, reggae, and rap submissions.
He also distributes music to Specialty Show hosts as he deems appropriate.

The Assistant Music Director is in charge of RPM Music, which includes electronic, house, drum and bass, jazz, funk, soul, and otherwise electronically-based music submissions. She also distributes music to Specialty Show hosts as she deems appropriate.

The Program Director maintains our on-air schedule by filling in the 24/7 schedule at the start of each semester, approving new specialty shows, and approving and scheduling all Free Forms (Sunday 4-6 PM). The Program Director also oversees new DJ training which is facilitated by the Assistant Program Directors (APDs).

The Public Service Announcement Director prepares and writes all PSAs read over the air by Album 88 DJs. She also selects which recorded PSAs will be aired.

The News Director trains and schedules all Album 88 Newscasters as well as managing our Public Affairs program, "The Hub."

The Production Director is responsible for the Production Studio. He/she assists student DJs with the equipment in the Production Studio and provides help with audio editing software, music scheduling software, and offers tutorials on various areas of radio production.

The office manager manages the office and administrative duties of the radio station.

- Operations Manager/Advisor: Jeff Walker

The Operations Manager is the primary representative of the licensee, monitoring and ensuring compliance with FCC, FAA and other Federal and State regulations. He also supervises the training of the staff on technical and legal issues, as well as handling contracts, licensing, copyright, and other issues for the Dean of Students office and at the station. In addition, Jeff is responsible for the technical needs of the station, both in the studios and at our 100,000 watt transmitter facilities along with the Chief Engineer. Jeff has been with the station since 1976, and also serves as the Director of Student Affairs Business Operations for the Office of the Dean of Students.
- Chief Engineer: Tom Taylor
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the technical needs of the station, both in the studios and at our 100,000 watt transmitter facilities. Tom has many years of radio engineering experience and works hard to make us sound great.
