The
Atlanta
Reptile and Exotic Animal Show is happening January 27 and 28th.
Unless enough of us want to go together, it would probably be easier to
meet there or just carpool. Please email
Bridget if you are
interested in going, so we can get a group together. Admission is $8.
Reminder: The deadline for
registration
is Feb. 9 for the
SE PARC meeting
in Chatanooga, TN, which takes place February 22-25. Meeting
registration is $20 for students.
The Bioblitz is happening. For those of you who don't know, it is where
we compete with
UGA's
and Auburn's
Herp clubs in the field to see who can find the most herps in one day.
At the meeting,
Saturday March the 24th or the 31st were decided on as the best dates.
Please email
Bridget if
you can make it or can't but want to, and we can try and adjust the
dates accordingly.
Also, Dr. Day has announced a 4000 level Herpetology class this summer
for any of those interested, please see her (527 Science Annex).
There's a possible trip down to the Okefenokee during Spring Break.
GSU's break is from March 3rd to the 11th, and schedules seem to open
during the first weekend(3rd and 4th). We would leave, probably in a
van early Saturday morning, drive down there and camp at night, then
tour the swamps and other places of interest, leaving sometime Sunday
or Monday. Again, let
Bridget
know about
your interest and availability.
