Message from Dr. Patton
President of Georgia State University
Georgia State University is very proud of the contributions that Project Healthy Grandparents (PHG) has made to the Atlanta community. Alongside an outstanding record of research, service delivery, and community involvement, the contributions of PHG to the Georgia State community are no less impressive. In addition to meaningful research, PHG has provided work-study, field placement, and other opportunities to nursing and social work students, as well as the student population at large.
Project Healthy Grandparents is also a prime example of what partnerships between higher education and the community can accomplish. It typifies the spirit of innovation that thrives at Georgia State. Through teaching, research, and service, Georgia State is a source of limitless potential for improving the quality of individual lives and enhancing our society.
Dr. Carl Patton, President
