Mission of the New EMBA
The Faculty of Commerce has entered into a partnership with the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, the Georgia State University to enhance the EMBA program. This partnership is funded by the Higher Education for Development program of the USAID. The mission is to "Become the 'World-Class' Standard for Executive MBA Education in the Region". This Executive MBA program's goal is to develop business leaders for Egypt and the region that make a difference in today's changing global marketplace. This includes developing on-going and substantial partnerships that will provide the Egyptian business community with an opportunity to draw on the expertise of GSU faculty. It will develop executives in the areas of Global Business Competitiveness, Strategic Decision Making, and Leadership Development. Building on this partnership will encourage future program management and teaching. It will encourage executives to become global learners by providing residency programs and speakers, expanding knowledge of the business environments in Egypt and the United States to provide solid basis for further cooperation. The faculty exchange visits forged through prior activities have been consistent with our joint objective of sharing knowledge and building future business leadership program. Currently, such relationships not only benefit the executives involved in this new EMBA program, but also enable Alexandria University to endow a new generation of faculty with opportunities to engage meaningfully with the business communities in Egypt and the United States. While demanding, the Executive MBA program recognizes and supports the values and priorities of executives who need to balance their work and family lives. All these experiences are supported by a newly developed executive education facility that was developed according to international EMBA standards.
