Student Experience

The EMBA teaches you to look at problems and opportunities holistically. It also provides analytical frameworks such as risk assessments, cost-benefit analysis and strategic plans, that you can apply to any problem or opportunity you encounter, whether in or beyond IT. The business mindset that an EMBA gives you becomes a habit because you use those frameworks repeatedly in a rigorous academic environment, and you see how they can be applied in a variety of situations from one course to another. So, with those caveats in mind, I think achieving your EMBA is a great thing to do, and I'm glad I did it. It was a good thing for a business oriented person like me to get some exposure to business theory and the way that the world works. I also met some great people, and overall the culture of the program was a good fit.
The Executive MBA program through the University of Alexandria fitted my needs the most in comparison to all the programs available in Egypt. My biggest desire was to complete the program in the least time frame possible. The EMBA of 24- month program forced me to keep on track for completion in two academic years. Additionally, the quality of the teaching was excellent. I also appreciated the importance of study groups, as well as the overall quality of the other students in the program.

My favorite part has been the sheer level of class participation from colleagues. It's really interesting to meet people who have different background and various views on how the world works. I've learned a lot in class. And the faculty has done a great job in steering the discussion and eliciting responses from us. But it's basically the class participation of my colleagues and the informal conversations we have over lunch and in groups that has really helped shape my thoughts.
Thank you.
