Upon acceptance to the University, all applicants planning to enter the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design should speak with the School Undergraduate Advisor when they first start their core curriculum in order to effectively schedule class selection and appropriate course load. Transfer students must provide catalog course descriptions and portfolio work from each art studio/ art history course taken for proper evaluation and placement . New Students intending to pursue a B.F.A. in a Studio Concentration must declare their major as AB Studio prior to applying for the advanced degree. Art History majors declare Art History, and must speak to a Faculty member of the department for advising.
