Associate Professor of Art History Dr. Melinda Hartwig co-hosts  two specials for The Discovery Channel called "Engineering the Impossible: Rome and Egypt."  In two 90 minute episodes, Dr. Hartwig and Steven Burrows (CEO ARUP) examine ancient engineering from the Pyramids of Egypt to the Colosseum of Rome. The idea of the series follows their investigation of how these structures were built, why and by whom.  Mr. Burrows is a structural engineer who oversaw the building of the Bird's Nest for the Beijing Olympics.The air date is to be announced.
