ASSISTANTSHIPS AND AWARDS
Students enrolled in the School are eligible to receive assistantships and awards in a number of categories.
All graduates are eligible for Graduate Assistantships and most are expected to be Graduate Teaching Assistants during part of their graduate career. Undergraduate students may be selected as Presidential Scholars and can apply for positions as Student Assistants.
The Chandler Awards are competitive awards presented annually to select graduate students. Eligible candidates are invited by faculty from each area to present written material and a portfolio of work for consideration. Final selection is made by a faculty committee charged with choosing one student from each area to receive the award.
The Honors Program Awards Ceremony and the presentation of prizes at the Juried Student Exhibition give faculty opportunities to reward graduate and undergraduate students for their achievements.
