Currently an assistant professor at Georgia State University, Ralph Gilbert's  teaching philosophy emphasizes a solid grounding in the methodologies and history of drawing and composition, a thorough knowledge of painting technique, and a the 3rd and 4th year and graduate levels, issues of conceptualization and narrative. His most recent solo exhibition was The Piedmont Park Series at the Fay Gold Gallery.
