Welcome to Asian Studies Center

The Asian Studies Center at Georgia State University contributes to metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, and to the national and international community by coordinating cultural, artistic and scholarly activities related to Asia and Asian Americans through travel, teaching and research.

It also seeks increased extramural funding for Asian research activities in order to sponsor a lecture series by international scholars and prominent figures, and a visiting scholar in residence program.

The recently established Asian Studies major will encourage development of professorships with an Asian emphasis in different departments and recruitment of students and faculty with an interest in Asian area studies. The Asian Studies Center also promotes Asian student life at Georgia State University and integration of the University with the life of the larger Asian community.
