This curriculum goes beyond conventional Six Sigma programs by integrating techniques from business intelligence, business analytics and decision support systems. Anyone can register for this certification program - there are no prerequisites. Why this Black Belt certification? Participants will learn how to integrate a variety of Six Sigma tools into an overall business analytics and information technology framework for process improvement. The participant will also be able to direct the development of technology solutions for process monitoring, evaluation of scenarios, contingency planning and run simulations to evaluate the risk associated with different decision alternatives. Upon completion of this certification participants will be equipped with tools to optimize business processes and contribute to producing breakthrough results in corporate performance. No other Lean Six Sigma program integrates an end-to-end training like this certification does. The participant will go through nine weeks of comprehensive training (2 four hour sessions per week). Electronic materials, textbooks, cases and datasets will supplement this intensive lecture-based training. Upon completion of the training, candidates take an exam to qualify for a Green Belt. Candidates are awarded a Black Belt upon successful completion of an application project. The Black Belt project will demonstrate the candidate's aptitude to implement the DMAIC methodology using appropriate statistical analyses and decision support technology. Fees: $6,000 for both Green and Black Belts and $2,500 for Green Belt only.
Our six sigma training will enable you to acquire sophisticated process improvement skills that have enabled early pioneers such as General Electric and Motorola produce dramatic results in corporate performance. Six Sigma is now a global trend - a methodology for business excellence through continuous improvement. The methodology is applicable to all business processes allowing a firm to improve customer satisfaction by making its internal processes both effective and efficient resulting in superior value creation.
Green Belt candidates attend the first five weeks of our combined nine week Green Belt/Black Belt program. The Green Belt certification culminates with an exam that is given every two to three months. The cost of the Green Belt program is $2500, including the exam.
Black Belt candidates attend all nine weeks of the training. All candidates take the Green Belt certification exam. To earn a Black Belt candidates have to demonstrate their ability to apply the Lean Six Sigma methodology to actual situations that have process improvement opportunities using real or simulated data. All candidates have up to one year to complete all requirements.
What do Black Belts do? Black Belt certified professionals lead groups of Green Belts in designing and implementing process improvement strategies. Such measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, product/service quality and profitability are a result of a data/metrics baced methodology (DMAIC) that also utilizes sophisticated information solutions to support all aspects of the process. This Black Belt certification will allow you to lead challenging reengineering/improvement projects, apply a proven methodology, develop tools for continuous improvement and create sustainable value.
