Training Schedule
Important: To receive your User ID/Password and obtain
access to the Banner system database, you MUST sign up and complete the
Banner training requirements.
Training
is for employees who need to learn how to navigate and access information
from the system database application.
Multimedia
Basic Navigation is required for all users before they may
attend any other student system training.
Space is limited to the first
eighteen individuals who register for
classroom training.
The
Banner Systems office will keep a wait list after a course is filled. If
you register for a class and are unable to attend, PLEASE notify the Banner
Systems office at your earliest opportunity.
Please
note:
It will be the department's responsibility to train their own student
assistants.
Multimedia Basic Navigation
All users are required to complete the Multimedia Basic
Navigation training.
This
course will cover the basics of how the system is structured, the new
terminology and basic navigation skills used throughout all modules of the
system database application via Internet Native Banner (INB).
There is no
deadline to sign up for the multimedia training course. Upon receiving the multimedia training registration form,
the Banner training team will sent out an email to the user on how to
access the multimedia training course.
Student System Query
All users are required to complete the Student System Query training.
Course
Prerequisite - Multimedia Basic Navigation
These
sessions will be available for campus end-users including staff in
functional areas. This course will teach users how to view basic
Student System forms for general student academic information.
Please note: Student System Query classroom training is a two
part course.
The first part (1 hour) and it covers the general review of Basic
Navigation.
The second part (2 hours) covers Student System Query.

Person Search
Course
Prerequisite - Basic Navigation
These
sessions will be available for campus end-users including staff in
functional areas. This course will teach users how to perform a
thorough name search prior to creating a new SPAIDEN record in INB.

Functional
Training
For
specific functional training, each College and functional area has their
own functional expert(s). The functional experts are responsible to train
users after the users have attended the Basic Navigation training.
