Nov. 30th - Dean Fenwick Huss, Prof. Bijan Fazlollahi, Project Director and Prof. James Boles visited Cairo University Faculty of Commerce and attended the conference on globalization of Business Education Professor Boles was an invited conference speaker. His talk was well received.

Nov. 28th - Dec. 8th - Prof. Jim Boles taught a course in marketing to junior year students. Professor Fazlollahi attended the class session on Dec. 1st. The students were highly interactive and enthusiastically participated in team work during the session.

Nov 10, 2010 - HED officers: Roy Zimmermann, Hazel Cipolle, and Abdechafi Boubkir met with Dean Huss and Bijan Fazlollahi in Atlanta. They discussed the status of the project. HED will present the concerns of RCB/GSU to USAID-Egypt and seek their help to expedite activities.

Sept. 23 - The visit of two junior faculty members was postponed to spring 2011 due to delay in processing visa documents through TraiNet system.

July 13, 2010 - Mr. Charlie Koo, Senior Program Associate at HED, informed GSU that a no cost extensiion was granted to the program for one additional year.

May. 23, 2010-- Sustainability Planning Committee meeting- Professor Bijan Fazlollahi will visit Cairo University to participate in the first meeting of the committee. The Committee members include Dean Adel Mabrouk, Professor Wael Kortam and prominent business persons. Dr. Abeer Mahrous is charged with writing the business plan for sustainability.

April 4th, 2009 - Professor Jayant Kale visited CU from April 4th to April 16th. He reviewed the Finance/Investment track of the program and held discussions with the faculty. He also met with the Dean and the President of Cairo University. He made presentation to select practitioners and research faculty. He also gave guest lectures in classes.

March 10th, 2009 –Dr. David Nasser, professor of Marketing in Robinson College of Business, visited Cairo University.

March 7th, 2009 –Faculty members (Dr. Abeer Mahrous, Dr. Dalia Khalil and Dr. Mohamed Elbannan) from Cairo University arrived in Atlanta for faculty development workshops at Robinson College of Business.

February 2009 – Professor Ram Sriram visited Cairo to conduct lectures in accounting and meetings with the business community including the board members of the Egyptian Association for Accountants and Auditors.

September 2008 – Ministry of Higher Education approved the 3-Track program in collaboration with Georgia State University.
