The Child Development Program consists of two facilities that serve as model demonstration schools that provide care for children ages 3 months through 5 years. Services are provided to children of Georgia State faculty, staff, and students. The program, which is affiliated with the Department of Early Childhood Education, offers fulltime care all year (closed on University holidays and a few teacher planning days throughout the year).

Both centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education
of Young Children, and both are State of Georgia Centers of Distinction.

The program serves as research and laboratory facilities for departments within the University. Additionally, it is a training site for the state-funded Pre-K program and the child development community at large. Parents are encouraged to visit the centers to pick up enrollment forms and other information. The program features low teacher-child ratios, a stimulating curriculum and a nurturing staff of dedicated teachers.
