School Health Index Assignment (30 possible points)

1. Locate School Health Index in the Student Teaching box. Click on the link.

2 .Next click on paper format ; then click on SHI Middle School and High
   School.

3. Print out pages 52-63. This includes the score card for Health Education
   and the construct definitions for determining each  score. Investigate the
   current health education program on your own and also interview some
   teachers.

4. Follow the instructions on the score sheet to calculate a final score.
    Completed score card (10 possible points)

5. From the score card results, discuss the strengths of the health education
    program; identify the weak areas of the  program; and provide recommended
    strategies for improving the health education program.  Cite sources that
    provided your suggested strategies for improvement. Completed written
    section (15 possible points)

6. Grammar; sentence structure; and spelling (5 possible points)
