About Us
Find out more about the Center for Latin American and Latino Studies.
History
CLALS began in 1998 with the intention of providing a research resource and academic forum for students and faculty interested in Latin American and Latino languages, cultures, and histories. Since then, we have accomplished much more.
Mission
As the Latin American and Latino communities in Atlanta have grown, our goals have expanded beyond their original objectives to include locally based as well as international research initiatives.
Objectives
The objectives of CLALS address the internationalization of Georgia State University as described in the Strategic Plan of 2005-2010.
Goals
In collaboration with the many departments of Georgia State University, CLALS facilitates the availability of existing resources that develop and expand excellence in Latin American and Latino studies.
