A talk by Jorge V. Bou, former Vice President of Watson Wyatt & Company

Jorge V. Bou retired on October 31, 2004 after 18 years with Watson Wyatt & Company. At the time of his retirement, Mr. Bou was a Vice President of Watson Wyatt & Company, the Regional Manager for the Latin America Region and the Managing Consultant of the San Juan office. Mr. Bou was also a member of the Company’s Management Committee, the Quality Committee and the Contingency Planning Task Force.

Prior to joining Watson Wyatt as a Consultant in the Company’s Miami office, Mr. Bou started his career with the American International Group of companies, subsequently joining the Martin E. Segal Company where he was a Vice President and Actuary. He provided consulting services to various clients in Latin America starting in 1969.
During Mr. Bou’s tenure, the Latin American region grew significantly while establishing a presence in Brazil. In his last five years with Watson Wyatt, the region grew from 88 Associates to 155, increasing its revenue by 55% while maintaining profitability.

Jorge V. Bou was an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, and a member of the International Actuarial Association. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University.
