Description of Event
In recent years the US and Brazil have been at odds about:
- the nature and extent of neoliberal economic reforms in Latin America,
- the development of trade and free trade zones in the area,
- and relations with the populist Chavez regime in Venezuela.
Professor Marcos Antônio Guedes professor of Political Sciences and Director, Center of American Studies at the Federal University of Pernambuco will give a Brazilian perspective on these and other issues.
