The Georgia State University program of Spanish Studies in Guadalajara is an exciting six-week program in Mexico 's second-largest city. While immersed in the language and culture of Mexico, participants will study at the Centro de Estudios para Extranjeros (Foreign Students Study Center), which is a part of the University of Guadalajara. Participants will take two courses, each with a language or content component. The culture component will be taught by the program director and will include field trips, excursions and visits to historical sites. The language or content components will be taught by local instructors and will vary according to students' needs and proficiency levels (e.g., Beginning and Intermediate Spanish, Advanced Grammar, Advanced Conversation, Latin American Literature, Mexican History and Aztec Culture). Program size is limited, so participants are urged to apply early.
