Rebecca Stapel-Wax, Director of The Rainbow Center, has been working with non profits for 20 years. Rebecca has dedicated the last 4 years to transform a program into a critical resource for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, their families and for professionals. She has also taken workshops to most Jewish congregations in the Atlanta metropolitan area in order to enhance the way they embrace their members. As a leading member of the Georgia LGBT Advisory Group for Seniors, she has collaborated with area agencies to educate clinicians about LGBT inclusion. Additionally, she has created a curriculum to work with staff who serve LGBT youth who are incarcerated and is part of United 4 Safety, an Atlanta program dedicated to LGBT people who need support in domestic violence situations.
