Sarah Lopez, Ph.D. is a bilingual psychologist in independent practice in Atlanta. A seasoned therapist and supervisor, she has had a longtime interest in the intersection of psychotherapy and spirituality. Her initial involvement with community work and gender issues was through the feminist movement and she is a past president of the Women's Division of the Georgia Psychological Association. She was an early responder to the mental health needs of the AIDS epidemic and has co-facilitated a pro-bono HIV/AIDS psychotherapy group since 1990. She has been closely affiliated with Positive Impact, a nonprofit AIDS mental health organization, having served as Board Chair, Latino Outreach Coordinator, and as faculty of its Cultural Diversity Institute.
