| Virginia Erhardt, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and transgender specialist in private practice in Decatur, Georgia. She has offered presentations internationally on topics related to transgender, partners of gender-variant individuals, and intersex conditions. She provides corporate in-service training facilitating employees' gender transitions on the job. She was featured on a Dateline NBC program about married couples who stay together when one spouse is transitioning from male to female. Dr. Erhardt is the author of Head Over Heels: Wives Who Stay With Cross-dressers and Transsexuals, released in early 2007 by the Haworth Press, and the co-author, with Dr. Jeanne Shaw, of Journey Toward Intimacy: A Handbook for Lesbian Couples. She was a columnist for Southern Voice Newspaper for three years. |
