Into the Streets

Happening in October every year, Into the Streets is a national volunteer program designed to introduce more people to thoughtful community service and to provide a learning experience that will challenge them to volunteer on a regular basis.

Participants include members of student organizations, clubs, alums, faculty and staff, who will spend time during fall semester giving back to the community.

The goal of Into the Streets is to strengthen student capacities to help solve the problems we face as a society. We recognize that this goal will only be accomplished through sustained and persistent action and partnership with many different individuals and institutions.

As a result of Community Outreach initiatives, the University:

  • hopes that others will see the need for service and the rewards of community service.
  • hopes to strengthen relationships with service organizaitions.
  • hopes that students will take on leadership roles in the service movement.

It is time for you to join us in this initiative!

Organizations may download the registration form here or register through Volunteer Solutions.
