The Office of Civic Engagement extends thanks and congratulations to everyone that has given of their time to volunteer and support community service efforts. Volunteering is about getting involved, getting connected, using your skills and interests to benefit others while getting something back in return. We' are happy to acknowledge members of the Georgia State University community who have made a commitment to service and who have taken the added effort of logging their volunteer service hours into Volunteer Solutions for eligibility for our Rewards Program:

How You Can Participate 

In order to be considered for an award, volunteers must submit their community service hours online through their Volunteer Solutions account by the last official class day of the semester.

• If you are a student or student group, visit the office to see how you can serve your community, or go to www.gsu.edu/service. Report your hours through Volunteer Solutions so that you may become eligible for a prize drawing.

• If you supervise Georgia State students who serve your organization, please give feedback through Volunteer Solutions so that we may evaluate the efficacy of our service endeavors.

• If you are a company, restaurant, or retailer that can donate prizes to reward students serving the community, please contact us!!! Reward sponsors will be listed on promotional materials, featured at events and on our website.

   Why Reward Students for Service?

  In an effort to track student involvement in service activities in the greater Atlanta community, the University has implemented a recognition and rewards program.  This program enables the University to monitor the types and amount of service activities of Georgia State students; evaluate their experiences through student feedback; increase contact with community organizations of which the students are involved; improve University programs and better coordinate the service endeavors of students; and thank and congratulate students who volunteer.

  Most importantly, the rewards program recognizes and honors the efforts of students who are committed to serving the greater Atlanta community.
