| The Eatonton Public Library opened with a formal ceremony January 26, 1916. The library was the culmination of the efforts of many determined citizens and owes it success to Dr. Benjamin Hunt. In 1954 the library joined with Morgan, Jasper, and later Hancock Counties to form the Uncle Remus Regional Library System. |
