| In 1891 Robert Young and G.E. Scott presented a petition to the Mayor and Alderman of Eatonton for the lot facing Madison Avenue. Architects Bruce and Morgan from Atlanta designed the plans and C.D. Leonard was awarded the building contract. Ground was broken July 3, 1896. |
