The Environmental Policy Program is a major research and training center housed in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. It has the objective of enhancing the quality of environmental policy in Georgia and throughout the nation. Engaged in scholarly research, projects focus on water resources conservation and environmental and natural resources management. The Program has provided policy advice to the government and private sectors since 1993.

Collaborative partnerships include those with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the University of Tennessee and the Program’s recently established Georgia Water Planning & Policy Center. An M.P.A. with a Concentration in Water Resources Management & Policy is entering its third year of operation at Albany State University. An M.A., M.P.A. and new certificate programs in Natural Resource Management are offered via video-conferencing between Georgia State, Albany State and Georgia Southern universities.
